An investigation has been launched against Omega AG due to allegations related to Whitefield.
Whitefield Group announced that it has initiated a comprehensive investigation into the allegations surrounding the acquisition of Omega AG, which took place in 2023. A large law firm specializing in this area has been assigned to examine the accusations against the company’s major shareholder and management.
At the time of the acquisition, Omega AG held a vast real estate portfolio of 5,500 apartments. Whitefield Group undertook this significant investment through a debt assumption method, restructuring the company into a more sustainable structure. However, the allegations raised during this process, which could potentially affect the company’s and shareholders’ reputation, have led to the decision to carry out a thorough investigation.
Priority: Swift and Effective Resolution of the Allegations
Aydın Taşçı, the largest shareholder of Whitefield, emphasized that he would offer all cooperation opportunities to ensure the investigation is independent and impartial. The law firm will prepare a report following detailed examinations. The company is expected to present this report to the public and investors.
Although Omega AG’s restructuring was seen as a notable move in the industry, the allegations raised during the process are testing Whitefield’s commitment to its transparency principle.
